A Designers Patio Takes Innovative Form Design

Forming this one was a lot of work.

 More forming around the front.

The way we formed this patio and walkway allowed the rebar and concrete to be continuous while allowing spacing for grass to give the illusion of large concrete tiles. 

 Just about ready to start pouring concrete. We had to pump the concrete over the house on this one.

 Harry and Stephane stamp each pad separately.

 This is the walk to the back alley all sealed up.

The patio is sealed and the yard is ready to be landscaped. Check back for finished pics soon.

A welcoming Entrance

Adding curb appeal.

This project is sandstone colour with our old granite texture. We have also made 4' decorative cuts and a 12" border cut with diluted black acid stain.

Front Yard Renewal

Here Harry and Alex, once again, remove paving stones in favour of decorative concrete.

We are very picky on the way our forms are curved. I'd say this went well.

Two risers with a square bullnose, accented with an acid stain border.

Balsam brown was used to integrally colour this patio.

Back Yard Reno

Paving stones were removed in order to have a product that would no longer shift and have weeds growing through it.



We had to pump over the house. Thanks, Kevin for not hitting the roof.

A little Halloween Spirit

A fresh reseal for the winter salt helps these pumpkins glow.

A reseal on the back fire pit brings the concrete back to life.

Finished Pics of a Springtime Job

Three Tiered Deck

It is slightly difficult to see on this picture but there are three levels to this back yard deck. The top two levels are poured over plywood decks and the bottom is poured at ground level. To help the design flow, we also made concrete treads which will be placed on steel stringers accessing both upper levels.

Driveway Bib

Here we used our old granite texture so the driveway design would not overpower the house design. We also chose a colour to compliment the acrylic stucco.

We acid stained a border detail to draw attention to the front entrance.

Modern Firepit

With design help from the home owner we came up with this really modern looking fire pit patio. Notice the air intake vents on the side of the fire pit. This cool design was done with one pour to minimize concrete cost.

A Walkway Addition

We added a walkway to an older walkway. We did not do the previous work and therefore did not know the colour, so we decided to go with a complementary colour and a different pattern. The results were stunning.

Pool Floors

We have been helping Urban Life with their pool floors. Wow is it hot in those holes.

It is really, really hot. Looks like Stacey and Harry are ready to be flipped.
