Structural Patio

The walk leading to what will be a structural patio. This concrete is actually a really nice brown under the gray release agent shown in this picture.

We used steel piers for the supports.

Alex learns the art of bending rebar.

We didn't want any blow outs on this pad and made sure with ample bracing.

This is a picture of the pad just after completing the stamping. The top of the pad will be designed with a 13" acid stained border and stair treads and a 5' grid cut at an angle everywhere else.

These forms will be off soon to reveal the square bullnose risers and true beauty of this patio.

Metal and Glass Inlay

This is a custom flower inlay made from metal strips and a glass circle center.

The mist coat has just been sprayed. This inlay is going to be awesome.

This is turning out to be a very cool vanity top.



This GFRC piece is super light, super thin and super durable.

Harry learns how to polish.

First Outside Pour of 2011

 Still too soft to get a concrete truck on the yard so we got a pumper.

 The step is prepped and waiting for concrete.

 Here I took a pic while I was screeding the top pad of the front step.

 The first float is almost complete.

 We also poured the back patio for the walkout basement.

Stephane is stamping our old granite texture on the patio. Tomorrow we will strip and wash the patio and step. Finished pics should be up next week.

Kitchen with Integral Drainboard

This kitchen features a reverse cove edge profile and an integral slot drainboard. There will be a huge stainless apron front sink for this kitchen. Check back soon for finished pictures.

Washroom Counters

This is the ensuite counter with double vessel sinks. Notice the cool brick wall behind the tub.

This is the main bath. No brick walls in this room but still a nice washroom.

The brick wall/backsplash really finishes the kitchen.

Bar Top

This is a integral bar sink with a floating bar top. One of the coolest back splashes I have seen lately.

Tasteful Inlays

Natural gray kitchen tops. A great neutral colour fit for almost any kitchen.

Here we have an aluminum inlay leading up to a more heavily ground area surrounding an ammonite fossil.

Here a brown agate stone is inlayed at the end of the peninsula. The inlays in this top give it character and a personal touch without being too in your face. Like my one design professor's golden rule, "Keep it simple, stupid".

Concrete Furniture

This is our prototype concrete end table. We have used reclaimed wood for a shelf but will also offer shelves made of glass or steel. The concrete itself will also be available in multiple colours.

This piece is less than 1" thick and has held the weight of 200lbs in the mid section of the top.

What a beauty!

10.5' kitchen top with no seams.

Check out how thin these arms are without the use of seams. Notice the cool brick wall to the left. The bricks will continue over the counter to create a really cool backsplash.

GFRC Kitchen and Vanities

Here Stephane easily lifts a 2" thick countertop piece. What would usually be around 200 lbs can easily be lifted by one person. GFRC is a beautiful thing.

Check out the tight finish. This is straight out of the mold.

The sink and faucet fit perfectly. I can't wait to see what these pieces look like installed.

This kitchen piece is 10.5' long and 2" thick. GFRC makes it manageable for two guys to carry.

PROTOTYPE for New Furniture Line

This is a prototype for our upcoming line of concrete furniture. This is an end table. Super thin and super strong.

Installing the shower seat and sill

Stephane applies adhesive to secure the location of the shower seat. The awesome tile guy is hiding behind the camera but is ready to start laying tile as soon as we are gone. The next pictures will be of the finished project when we install the vanity with a custom integral sink.

Stephane tries out our newest addition - the neon yellow, caulking tube tip adapter to get into awkward spaces tool...it go the job done.

Shower Seat Polishing

This is the shower seat poured last week. The first polish is complete.
